gINA Ferrer García DIRECTORA DE FOTOGRAFÍA / CINEMATOGRAPHER
I was born in Barcelona, Spain.
I graduated as a cinematographer at ESCAC ( Film and Audiovisual School of Catalonia ) of Barcelona. Thereafter, I obtain a scholarship to extend my studies in EICTV, San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba.
I have learnt that people may forget what you say, but hardly ever forget how you made them feel. This is the mindset I bring to every project.
I draw inspiration from everywhere. I will imbue my work with any detail that touches my emotions.
As a DoP I combine features, commercials, TV fiction and documentaries. My passion for camerawork and storytelling has also led me to work as 2nd Unit DoP.
By 2016, I shot my first feature film NQPN ( No quiero Perderte Nunca ) directed by Alejo Levis. This one has been followed by other feature films like L’homme au piano ( by Chauncey Alan ), the Costa Rican film Aquí y ahora ( by Paz León ) and Isaac a Zentropa Spain & Miyagi films Production directed by Ángeles Hernández and David Matamoros.
I am passionate about photography so I take lots of pictures as well.
